The ADEPS centre “La Sapinette” is located just a short distance from the Grand Large and offers various nautical activities. Courses, lessons, recreation... Navigation, sailing, kayak… everyone can find their motivation and hobby!

A sailing school in the perfect location

Established there since 1974, the Sapinette chose a prime location between the greenery and the water, as well as being close to Mons town centre! The great advantage of the Grand Large is that it’s perfect for sailing. With a circular form, it allows a magnificent space of 42 hectares for navigation with no obstacles. There is even a sailing school. You can count on monitors who are as professional as they are passionate and on quality materials to practice this sport, your new hobby and one of the main sports of the centre. Whether child or adult, beginner or experienced, discover the lessons that are right for you:
 
  • Sailing lessons for everyone, adults and children (from 9 years old)
  • Windsurfing lessons for adults and teens (from 12 years old)
  • Kayak-polo lessons (from 11 to 14 years old)
Lessons are given every Saturday from May till June and from September till October, from 9.30 to 12.30 and/or from 13.30 to 16.30.
 
In addition, summer classes are organised for children (from age 8, either as day classes or as residential) during the summer holidays. Choose a sports holiday and try out sailing, windsurfing, kayaking or a sailing dinghy. Various certificates are awarded during these classes.

  • ludics (sailing dinghies that can take up to 8 persons)
  • laser fun (double sailing dinghies)
  • jumbos (wide and stable sailing dinghies)
  • optimists (small boats for initiation)
  • windsurf boards for initiation
  • advanced windsurf boards
  • "Lazer Pico"
  • "Bizzu"
Let’s not forget the sauna and the jacuzzi for relaxing after the exercise!
