On the French-Belgian border, between the greenery and the waterways, there lies a leisure park with many activities. Accomplished sports people, thrill seekers or people who love family outings, Dock 79 welcomes you with a friendly atmosphere. It’s time to get your swimming costume wet!
A water-ski cable
Wakeboarding, wakeskating, kneeboarding, water skiing, so many ways to surf on this magnificent lake of 10 hectares. A system that is both innovative and ecological will pull you for 720 metres at an average speed of 30 km/hr. Would you like to take the plunge but you don’t quite have the confidence yet? Don’t worry, two different cables are available. The first cable takes beginners for their first slide over the water while the second one awaits those who have already mastered the trajectory.
And if, after acquiring the basics and being in control of your balance, you still don’t feel ready to take off, you can follow some training to improve your performance, learn some tricks etc. Please note: training is organised on set dates, remember to register early. On top of this, you can also reserve the cable-skis for private events! This is an original way to share some unique memories, rich in emotions and excitement!
As you can imagine, all these activities are not the most relaxing so, opposite the cable ski, there is a relaxation area. What could be better than doing a little sunbathing, lying in a deck chair, feet in the sand, while following the sporting achievements of the participants?
If you need a little break or you’re thirsty, head over to the terrace opposite the lake. The cable ski bar has nice cold drinks as well as a few snacks (sandwiches, paninis, etc.).
An aquapark
Yes, but it’s not just any aquapark… It’s the very first aquapark in Belgium! “Le Plongeoir” (“The Diving Board”), as it is called, proudly floats at around 10 metres from the edge of the lake and welcomes children and adults. Climb up onto its giant structures, slide down the walls, jump off the top! Fun and a change of scenery guaranteed! A life guard is permanently on watch.
Here it is also possible to reserve the aquapark to celebrate a stag night, a birthday or a teambuilding event.
Feeling peckish?
Go to “Bertine”, the Food Truck that will please your taste buds! Sometimes it’s necessary to recharge your batteries. On the menu: home-made burgers, sandwiches, fries, salads and tapas.
