Biography
Vincent van Gogh is a Dutch painter who was born on March 30, 1853 in Zundert, in the south of the Netherlands. He died in Auvers-sur-Oise, France on July 29, 1890. He is termed an impressionist, but his painting presaged fauvism and expressionism. Vincent van Gogh has left to the world 850 paintings and nearly 1,300 works on paper.
