This district is made up of 11 villages: Angre, Angreau, Athis, Autreppe, Erquennes, Fayt-le-Franc, Marchipont, Montignies-sur-Roc, Onnezies and Roisin, and nestles within the Hauts-Pays Nature Park.
The district council has laid out many walks, from Le Caillou-qui-Bique, to the Angre Forest, making it a perfect destination for nature lovers. Honnelles is also an architectural showcase, with stunning buildings, including the Rampemont Fortified Farmhouse, the old castle at Roisin, St Brice’s Church and the chateau at Montigniessur-Roc, to name but a few. Culture is another local strength, especially at the Emile Verhaeren Museum in Roisin, where the famous poet came to find peace and tranquility. There are plenty of festivities throughout the year in Honnelles.

For example, for one weekend a year, Erquennes goes back in time to experience harvesting the old-fashioned way. With the Musical Summer Festival in Roisin and the Artisans’ Spring Festival, Honnelles has a jampacked annual programme.
