In 2020, the pupils of the Harmignies school won the “Doudou illustré” competition with their drawing of the dragon in puzzle form. For the past 16 editions, the “Doudou illustré” competition has determined the official artwork of the Doudou in the adults and teenagers category, and will be used on the official poster and t-shirt of the Ducasse de Mons. It has also influenced the artwork used to embellish the t-shirts worn by the small audience around the Petit Lumeçon rope, from the children’s category. As the Doudou festivities didn’t take place in 2020 due to the Covid pandemic, the children’s winning design was put on a tote bag for sale at the City of Mons Tourist Office shop.
Today, the drawing is represented in life size on the walls of their school by the artist Jan Is De Man.
