The requests for themes for the rue des capucins were references to the ducasse while putting forward an aspect of joy and positivity. Paul Segard thus chose not to approach the theme of the ducasse head-on and to focus his work on a poetic and resolutely positive message. A child sitting in a flowering tree while talking to a bird.
