Calvin Dussart and Charles Myncke are both students of the Mons Ecole des Arts² [School of Art]. Their project was born in the drawing workshop of said school in the class of Djos Janssens, who advised and guided them throughout the creation of True Story. They wondered about the many walled windows the city had and what that meant. Their curiosity gave their imagination free rein. They tried to imagine what was going on behind these walled windows with a wink and a nod through reproductions of Hollywood comic books and movie posters from the fifties.
