Saint-Denis surreal / Alessandra Carloni
Location of the piece: rue de la Brisée - 7034, Saint-Denis
The artist gave us his interpretation of his work: In this piece, I referred to the abbey of Saint-Denis in Mons, interpreting the structure in a surrealist way. Taking the detail of the arch and the tower that are part of the abbey, as well as the old mill, imagining them as suspended on a layer of flying earth. The main feature of the picture is the element of water which starts from the hands of the character placed at the top (symbolism of my style) and goes down to the mill.
