Ma ville s'endort - Paul Segard
Location of the piece: Passage du Centre, Grand'rue - 7000 Mons
The initial theme being the Mons heritage, the artist decided to name the fresco “My city is falling asleep”. He wanted a more gentle work, representing the picturesque side of the Mons city centre that he loves so much. Pastel colours, a sleeping person watching over their city, an embrace. For him, this all seemed to symbolise the attachment that the people of Mons have for their city.
