The Fairs Department immerses you in the magical atmosphere of old-fashioned fairs, where the lights, music, and colours of early 20th-century funfairs awaken your senses. A 1920s suspended carousel, a Flea Circus, and an illuminated miniature fairground will transport you back in time, delighting both young and old. In parallel, the Memory Department highlights key moments in the life of Saint-Ghislain through an 8-meter timeline, postcards, and archives. You can rediscover the region's cultural and industrial history through showcases featuring earthenware, porcelain, and collectible objects, all testaments to a rich and vibrant past. A guided tour will allow you to explore significant events in local history, from the daily lives of the past to the evolution of the city and its now-disappeared shops. This one-hour journey through time is enhanced by an introductory film and educational panels, offering a comprehensive view of Saint-Ghislain's history. Accessible Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 1-5pm.
