The communal park of Jemappes offers an escape to visitors. On 49 acres, it includes huge fishponds (fishing competitions are held throughout the year), tennis courts, a fitness trail, a playground, a large lawn, a rose garden, flower beds, and hundred-year-old trees, such as sequoias, oaks and plantains. There is a petanque club during the summer and painters come to paint each week. The park also includes many traces of the past, such as a splendid ecumenical chapel and a remarkably preserved ice-house dating from the 18th century, when the Guillochain Castle was built. The rose garden has a new room dedicated to banquets, weddings, events, seminars and meetings, with a kitchen and bar for 180 people. Open every day from dawn to dusk.
