6 circuits in Mons, Le Cateau, and Cambrai to follow in the footsteps of the Great War. These lands were the sites of first battles in the conflict, they would be the stage of the latest battles. In the meantime, for civilians, 4 years of occupation have marked a whole population. Each themed tour proposes to rediscover these sites and allows to rekindle a memory that sometimes fades over the years. 1 - Legend of the Angels of Mons (Battle of Mons – 23 August 1914) 2 - The first and The Last (Offensive of 100 days, 11 November 1918) 3 - In time of war (the People of Mons during the war) 4 - Battle of the Cateau - (26 August 1914) 5 - Battle of Cambrai - (20 November - 7 December 1917) 6 - The 100 days offensive (August-November 1918) An Angel revisits iconic places, a journey between past and present to give the visitor the keys to history. Who still remembers all these soldiers and civilians, today just names on monuments or plaques we don’t even stop to see? Who better than the guardian of their memory...?
