The chapel of the convent of the Ursulines has been converted into a place dedicated to the conservation of the patrimony of the city of Mons. It serves as a kind of “jewel case” for the works and the activities that surround them. At the heart of the Pôle muséal (museum complex of the city), it is at the same time a storehouse, a center for researching, restoring and studying the city’s patrimony, bringing together all of the city’s collections within its walls. In addition to conservation, the Artothèque also plays a major role in promoting the city’s patrimony by allowing visitors to browse through the entirety of the city’s collections virtually and by showing what the various museum professions really consist in. Open from Thursday to Sunday, from 10am to 4pm
