La Douffe / Les caves de saint-Georges

It was in May 2017 that Douffe beer was born, out of the common passion of friends, great fans of craft and regional beers. Eager to continue to discover and create new flavours as well as to refine and share their knowledge, they will now be able to get involved and continue in this direction with the nonprofit "Les Caves de Saint Georges." They will soon offer you workshops on the themes of discovery, initiation and training in the art of brewing. Each workshop will be open to all adults and will take place at home. “Each Douffe is unique, but it is important to find the path to it by oneself.” (Mons proverb) Thanks to their short training on the theme “I will come and brew in your home,” they offer to enlighten you on this path. The workshops will take place in three phases: Discovery and tasting: the origins of beer, its various versions, the discovery of aromas and flavours of which it is composed. Initiation: theory on the brewing processes, hygiene, the equipment to acquire to become autonomous, as well as how to create original recipes. Training: practical implementation of brewing, from the fermentation to bottling.
