FIRST PART OF THE CONCERT: ESINAM
With its futuristic flute sounds, dense rhythms and sensitive melodies, ESINAM lets you step into a dreamlike musical world like no other.
Jeff Mills presents Tomorrow Comes the Harvest featuring Jean-Phi Dary & Prabhu Edouard.
A true living legend of Detroit techno music, known the world over for his three-deck mixes, Jeff Mills has had a lifelong interest in other musical genres. His legendary album, Tomorrow Comes the Harvest, is a case in point, and he’ll be playing it as part of a trio on a one-off date in Belgium.
Behind his sequencers and other electronic equipment, he’ll be joined by keyboardist Jean-Phi Dary and Prabhu Edouard, a Franco-Indian percussionist and singer who features among the finest tabla players on earth. Jazz, soul, techno of course, funk, tribal music, percussion, ambient... all these styles are carefully blended and the result is nothing short of a stroke of genius.
Tomorrow Comes the Harvest’s live show won’t (and isn’t intended to) get you out of your seat (except probably for a round of applause at the end, but this is a seated concert). However, it will resonate with you powerfully and rouse strong emotions.
