Once considered to be a marginal activity, tattooing has now become almost the norm. It is now something that is very much on show. Four artists examine this global enthusiasm. From the intimate - with the tattoo artist, to the explicit at conventions, combining the imaginary or fantastical. Everyone tells the story of the duality between pain and happiness, engraved in indelible ink under the epidermis… for life.
