The city in all its diversity and with its direct contact with the public is treated by artists as a creative material in its own right. For Fluid, Thuin, noted for its remarkable heritage, receives some twenty Belgian and international contemporary artists. They up-end it, scrutinise it and invite you to take a fresh look at its history, language and culture. Private and public spaces and iconic sites are used to display works which will then remain in the city. As part of Mons 2015, the route is thus designed for the long term. Fluid instigates a profound examination of contemporary urban reality.
