    MONS/MONTIS
    12 LETTERS BY ANNE HERBAUTS
While preparing her latest comic book, Anne Herbauts wrote a series of creative and Mons-focused letters to a certain Monsieur Losseau/Loiseau. These 12 previously unseen gems feature slagheaps that go for walks, cats that crack nuts and birds that sweep the floor. Be among the first to enjoy them at Jemappes Library.

    ILLUMINATING ILLUSTRATIONS
FROM DICKENS TO THE SIMPSONS: A CENTURY OF IMAGES
For 30 years, Belgian writer Carl Norac has specialised in illustrated fiction. His great love of images propelled him to collect work from some of the best illustrators of our time and of all-time. On display to the public for the first time, this eclectic collection will take you on an unforgettable journey through a century of illustrations.

    INTERIOR LETTERS
28 EUROPEAN ILLUSTRATORS AND THE CHILDREN OF THE BORINAGE
Drawings open up secret doors that allow you to enter the imaginary worlds created by words in a different way. The illustrated correspondence between the children of the Borinage and illustrators from every country in the EU is an example of this phenomenon, with each letter-writer imagining how their correspondent leads their life within their own country. These 56 well-travelled letters have a uniquely European feel about them.
