Vincent van Gogh (1853-1890) is one of the most appreciated artists in the world. His paintings, drawings and letters are a source of inspiration for people of all ages. His works can be admired in many museums in the four corners of the world. A good number of places where the artist lived and worked can be visited, from the Netherlands to the French Midi. Some 25 organizations and museums in the Netherlands, Belgium and France have joined forces under the name “Van Gogh Europe”. Together, these institutions invest actively in the preservation and promotion of van Gogh’s heritage.
