Want to discover contemporary arts with your children? The Musée des Arts Contemportains (Mac’s – Museum of Contemporary Arts) and the Centre d’Innovation et de Design (CID – Centre for Innovation and Design) welcome you for a special day just for you! Take a family-friendly tour of the Mac’s and CID’s exhibitions and take a stroll down the site’s slag heap to explore nature! Don’t forget your brush, and off you go!
The “KIDSKIT”
From age 3, your children will be able to learn art as adults! This free kit – a stool, stand or screen all at once – includes a “youth” guide, measuring tools, different colour charts and small materials for your children to have fun while visiting the exhibition! They’ll never be bored again at the museum!
Kids’ lounge
The kids’ lounge is the perfect place to discover contemporary art in a fun way! At the entrance of the museum, this special kids’ space addresses several themes related to museum exhibitions or otherwise. In addition, toddlers will adore the landscaped garden area.

During the holidays, your children won’t be bored at the Grand-Hornu! Creative workshops will let the kids explore the world of artists and learn more in a fun way!
You can already register them at the “Colormini” workshop in July 2018!
When? From 23 to 27 July.
Duration? From 9.00 am to 4.00 pm
