With nearly 90 paintings and over 180 drawings, the Kröller-Müller Museum boasts the second largest collection of Van Gogh´s works in the world. The collection charts the artist´s career spanning paintings from Van Gogh´s time in the Netherlands (1881–1886) where he primarily used dark earthy tones to portray country life, but also paintings from his time in France (1886–1890) where light and colour
took the place of the dark tones and his brush strokes became more fluid. The collection´s highlights include the “Café Terrace at Night“ and the “Bridge at Arles (Pont de Langlois)”.
